A timely and essential exploration of a drug for which we have laws but no values…
Smokescreen is a riveting exploration of adolescent drug culture and the clash of values between young people and the adults in their lives over the damaging impact of marijuana abuse. Trent is a charismatic high school student, convicted of trafficking marijuana. His appointment with a newly minted youth care worker assigned to his case is interrupted by his father, who ratchets up the conflict up with his own take on the issue. Somehow, they must find a way to help Trent envision a new way of looking at his drug behaviour.
